Minecraft Xbox 360 backward compatibility to Xbox One

Has anyone heard any news about when Xbox 360 Minecraft will have backwards compatibility with Xbox One. I would like to buy a Xbox one for my son but only if his Minecraft 360 will work on it. Thanks for your help.

South Park is backwards compatible.

Any digital 360 items that you bought that are backwards compatible should be in your install list under "my games & apps",then "games" & scroll to the far right as long as you are using the same account that bought them on the 360.

Your Minecraft skins & texture packs should be there but you would need to buy the xbox one version of Minecraft.

To be blunt & honest -- There is no point for MS/Mojang to make Minecraft backwards compatible as there is a Xbox One version of the game.

I'm not sure if it still exists, but there was a deal for the Xbox One version of Minecraft if you already owned the 360 version where it would only $5 to upgrade.

Should be $0.99 to upgrade and if your a gold member then free upgrade.

Minecraft Xbox 360 is not backwards compatible with Xbox One, and is unlikely to be as the game is no longer supported. Youll need to contact support.

Only the backwards compatible Xbox 360 games can be played on Xbox One. As Minecraft is not, you need to buy a new copy.

The Xbox One already has its own version of Minecraft, so I sincerely doubt that the developers are going to make the Xbox 360 version Backwards Compatible.
