    Minecraft Xbox 360 and PCs


    My son is feeling nostalgic and wants to play the Xbox 360 version of Minecraft. I dont know why cause the game is older than him! I am trying to figure out if I can buy Minecraft for Xbox 360 and play it on a PC. Is this possible? We don’t have an Xbox.
    He also wants to use an Xbox controller on his PC. Is this also possible? Thanks!

    Hello AlexanderCarmichael1,

    Unfortunately, the Xbox 360 version of Minecraft is only compatible with the Xbox 360 console. You would have to purchase the PC version of Minecraft in order to install it on your PC.

    The Xbox 360 Edition is currently based on the 1.6.6 Beta version of Minecraft on the PC. The PC version is currently in the 1.2.5 full game (no longer in beta).
