    I bought MineCraft xbox 1 edition and it goes to update fun with friends and the ms store wants t charge me for this update $20??? Its a bummer as its really the only reason I play minecraft, I bought it on PC years ago and I loved it, was hoping to xperience
    it again on xbox 1 but if I gotta pay anther $20 I'll just return it. i herd this was a bug from research idk, so I am wondering if MS will be so kind and hook me up with a free code or a fix to this problem as I have only 7 days to return it and I have to
    pay restocking fee soo please help fast if you can!!

    I was bought Minecraft but not played it till now but i see so many different things than my friend I have (Minecraft - Buy Minecraft - Microsoft Store) he has (Minecraft: Xbox One Edition - Buy Minecraft: Xbox One Edition - Microsoft Store)
    so why there are two different editions to xbox one? why i can't download the
    Minecraft: Xbox One Edition?

    If you're trying to upgrade the disc version then that is correct. It's currently only free to users who own it digitally.

    Q: How long will the Better Together Update be available as a free download to players who own the console version of the game?

    A: Owners of the disc version of Minecraft: Xbox One Edition will have until January 30th 2018 to have played Minecraft for five or more hours in the past 12 months OR purchased a DLC Pack. There is no cutoff for digital Minecraft: Xbox One Edition owners.

    Hey there, you've probably got the old version 'Xbox One Edition'. It used to be a free upgrade, however it is not anymore. The aquatic update is on: 'Minecraft' not 'Minecraft Xbox One Edition'.

    I did pay, I paid for Minecraft xbox edition and since that was shutting down and would no longer be updated they gave us bedrock for free, the only reason they gave us bedrock was that we paid for Minecraft Xbox edition and now its no longer getting updated it was only fair if they gave it to us for free.
