Minecraft xb1 issue with two player

Please move if not in right place, i cant seem to find any other sections anymore...

I have a xb1 i have my own gamertag, my sons share a gamertag (gold account)

They both want to play on the xb1 so one will sign in as me and load my world, my sons account signs in but wont allow them to join in comes up with "due to settings this person cannot play online"

Their account IS allowed to play online, ive checked the settings on both their 360 and on the xb1, ive unclicked invite only on my world, still same issue, if i send them an invite to play its not received.

Any ideas? Is this a bug or something im clearly missing

Why do I have to sign in for others to play on xbox one???

Okay, that was really general, here's the issue, please help as it's driving me nutz...

We have two XB1s in the house. One for me, one for the kids. I downloaded Minecraft for the kid on their XB1. Now, when I downloaded it I did it under my profile. When my kids want to play, I have to provide my PIN and sign in, which then boots me off my
XB1. As soon as I go back to my XB1 to play any game, not even Minecraft, the kids get booted off Minecraft on their XB1 as I have logged back into my XB1.

Both my kids have full gold memberships too, just like me. Why would I have to be signed in on their XB1 for them to play Minecraft? Does it matter that Minecraft was purchased and downloaded under my Xbox Live account? And if so, why the hell would that
matter, especially since both my kids have gold memberships? Do I not own the game now, and cannot anyone play that I want them to? What the hell is happening, please help me...

This is really pissing me off, a lot...

you could try to do re-install minecraft

 

Are they on your friends list? The game is set up in such a way that only friends can join your world.

 

There have been several threads on other sites regarding joining games with a second controller. They found if the second controller was on but not associated with a GT ( plugged in charging etc) after launching the game the game glitched. They recommended
not turning the second controller on until the world was open.

Most of the other issues just appeared to be random but in most cases were fixed by deleting the game and re-installing or simply hard booting the console. If the kids GT hasn't always been set to allow online the hard boot may fit it, the changed setting
may not be recognized by the game.

 

Ah that could explain it as i switch it to be allowed online on and off just for minecraft, hardboot on the xb1 i presume? Will give that a go tomorrow.

Yep hardboot the One, just hold the power button down for about 10 seconds.

When the Xbox reboots you'll see a green screen with the Xbox logo for a few seconds rather than going straight to the TV or dashboard as it normally would depending on your setting.

 

i always get the xbox logo first as i have mine on full power off setting
