  1. Minecraft world is only saving to my Xbox one console and not the cloud

    Hi,

So my friend and I have been playing on a Minecraft world that I believe we started on his Series X. We have played the world together on the same Xbox as well as online on our separate consoles without any trouble before. The last time we played was on my Xbox one together.

Now when he opens the world on his Series X, any progress we made while playing on my Xbox is gone. But if I log into his account on my console and load the world, the progress we made is still there.

Its only saving directly to my console and not the cloud, how can I change that?

    Thanks

    :)

    Corrupted Minecraft Save...

Minecraft saves are backed up on both the Cloud and on the console. Unfortunately if you the saved world has already been deleted from the old Xbox, there's no way of getting the worlds back. I suffered it when transferring my Xbox One Edition worlds to
Bedrock edition, unfortunately nothing can be done.

Minecraft world is only saving to my Xbox one console and not the cloud

Hi and thanks for reaching Microsoft Xbox gamer's community. My name is Josef.
I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft Xbox user like you.

Hope you're doing great today Sydney

So, the world belongs to your friend, right?

Please ask your friend to do this:

    1. Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.
    2. Unplug the console's power cable from the console and from the power outlet. Wait 5 minutes.
Important: Be sure to wait at least 5 minutes. This step resets the power supply.
    3. Plug the console power cable back in.
    4. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on.

After that, try to remove and re-add your profile on the console.

In case you need it, here's how to remove and re-add:

    https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/account-pro...

Also disconnect your router from power for about 3 minutes. Then connect it again an when everything is working, try again

If that doesn't work, as your friend instead to delete local saved data for minecraft (in that way he is going to force cloud sync)

Highlight the game, press the Menu button on your controller and then select Manage game.
Scroll to the right, highlight the saved data for your gamertag under Saved Data and then press A on your controller.

Once there select Delete from this console (not everywhere)

Let me know how it goes, one of the above should do the trick

I'll be waiting for your feedback, greetings from another Microsoft user

Minecraft world failed to sync data

    Hello Edenquartz,

We thank you for bringing this inquiry to our forums community, and understand that this concerns the cloud saved data for Minecraft not syncing properly.

If you have played the same world that you're trying to access on another console, you could launch Minecraft and the cloud save would overwrite the current save therefore restoring the world.

Unfortunately, if you have not accessed this world on another console, then the world would not be recoverable.

We do advise to review our syncing Xbox One game saves to the cloud error messages support article for
    information on cloud sync errors.

Let us know if this information was helpful, and we wish you the best!

Can I get a copy of my 'corrupted’ Minecraft world from the Xbox cloud service?

Thanks. But my local save was not corrupted. It is that I did a Xbox factory reset. After that, I did try to re-sync my Minecraft world (500+MB) and the console said "the cloud save is corrupted".

Is it possible that I get the "corrupted" save from your cloud storage and then I can try to repair it? The Minecraft save is so precious to us. Is this possible?

    Minecraft Xbox One world lost

You might be lucky, that the cloud save hasn't been updated with the crashed world yet.

In that case, try the following:

Go to the Minecraft tile in "My Games and Apps", and press the Menu button. Choose to manage the game.

WARNING! The following steps will delete the local save storage! If the other worlds haven't been synced with the cloud, your saves will be gone!!!

So if you are willing to take that step, clear the LOCAL save storage of your Minecraft game.

DO NOT choose to delete the games from all consoles (i.e. the cloud storage)!!!

With the local save gone, start Minecraft.

The console will then try to re-sync the local saves from the cloud.

If that worked, you might have a working world from a previous save.

To prevent such things happening in the future, consider backing up your worlds regularly with these instructions: https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/articles/360034754912-Backing-up-Minecraft-worlds-
