    minecraft works on one account but not other


    i bought minecraft on my brother microsoft acount and he got minecraft on mine(i won't go into detail as to why this happened), i bought it one day after him, a few years ago now, and we lost one laptop so weve been sharing an account since(about 1-2 years) i just got a new PC and i tried to sign in with his email(the exact same one, ik cuz it was created so we could get MC)and it has the same profile pic as before but it only says "play demo" for java and "install" for bedrock, we where playing Java together for sure and would like to again, so how can i fix this or can we both use the same account?

    Edit: bedrock seems to work fine however java still doesn't

    this is what it's showing me but i 100% bought it on this account cuz it's his only account, this is with the store, Xbox app on the same account

    Oh I see. Where did you exactly buy the game? From the Minecraft website where it's not yet migrated to a Microsoft account or through the Microsoft Store after migration?

    I suggest that you must sign in the same account on your Xbox app, Microsoft Store, and Minecraft Launcher if you're using it.

    If it doesn't work, try to reset those apps one by one by going to Settings > Apps > Apps & features > Find the app > Advanced options > Reset.

Since we've already tried some troubleshooting steps here and still having the same issue, it would be best that you directly contact Minecraft support team to further investigate the issue on your account. They have the right tools and resources to check it for you. You may submit a ticket to them here https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/request/new
