Minecraft won't work after resetting system

So after redeeming a free code to download Minecraft which came with my Xbox one system and playing it for a couple weeks, all of a sudden one day, the system displayed an error code every time we tried to play Minecraft. So I reset the whole system which
meant I had to get a new username. Now I still can't play Minecraft. When I tried the code again, it says it's already been redeemed. I could pay to download it again, but I shouldn't have to. Does anyone know how I can get Minecraft back and not pay for it?
Everything else is working fine.

Hey there Mike!

Sorry to hear that you're dealing with this.

Now when you reset the Xbox, it asks for your email and password to your account.

If you entered your information, and another gamertag came up, that means you input a different primary email for that account. You just need to remember which email you started gaming with or try the steps here on our

Lost account solution if you don't.

Once you get into that account you should be able to play all your downloadable game easily

You can only use games on the account they were redeemed on. You should be able to log into the old account and see your content.

You would need to sign into the original account that you redeemed the code on originally.

Remember the account where you used the game, it may be that the live gold has expired
