    Minecraft won't play on Xbox One


    I got a Minecraft Xbox One edition includes Favorites Pack but it won't play. I replaced the disk in the store thinking it is a bad copy but the new one is acting the same. just makes a click sound and nothing is happening. All other games play just fine.
    no errors or error codes. Anyone experienced the same problem?

    Hi there,

    as far as I know Minecraft isn't a Xbox Play Anywhere title, so any purchase made on the PC won't be visible on the Xbox One console or vice versa.

    Your addons for Minecraft on the 360 won't transfer to Xbox one because Xbox one edition is a different game and the 360 version of Minecraft isn't back compatible

    Playstation currently doesn't allow cross platform play with Xbox yet.

    As for playing against PC players, you will need a game that supports cross platform play.

    Examples for such games are:

    • Minecraft (the one without the "Xbox One Edition" in the name, and the Windows 10 Minecraft version. Java Minecraft on PC won't work).
    • The Forza games on PC like Forza 7, Forza Horizon 3
    • Sea of Thieves
    • Gears of War 4
    • State of Decay 2
    Most other games from other publishers (i.e. not Microsoft Game Studios) are probably unable to play cross platform. So you won't be able to play FIFA or Call of Duty with your PC friends.
