    Please Help,

    I have been trying to install minecraft for Java however, the store keeps saying "try again later, something happened on our end". After trying numerous solutions, including restart, repairing and uninstalling and reinstalling, nothing has worked. I finally decided I should buy it again, which did not work, and this error code "0x87e00196" popped up. I have no idea what to do and feel like I just wasted even more money when I know I should've gotten it for free since I previously had the windows version.

    May I know if you have tried to install Minecraft Java both on the Microsoft Store and the Xbox app?

    There is no need to know wich version of windows you're running.

    Just do the following:

    Open Windows Powershell as administrator. Copy and paste the green text bellow and then press ENTER after each one.

    1) To uninstall gaming service

    get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers

    2) To reinstall it

    start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN

    It will open the app on MS store. Just installl it and see if you can now install your game.

    Okay so fixed that issue by unticking "ask me for install options on every install" but now get an error code "0x87e00196" trying to install anything
