Minecraft windows for windows 10 not syncing

I have bought Minecraft for windows 10 on my brothers laptop and recently I got a new desktop

but on my Minecraft launcher it say I need to buy the Minecraft for windows 10 when I already own it for a different computer

why isn't it syncing?

You need to validate if you’re using the correct account where the game was purchased. Kindly sign in to https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders, once you see the status of the order stated as “completed” simply sign out on your Microsoft Store App or Xbox App then restart before signing back in.

If you can’t locate the transaction, ask your brother as it can be purchased under his account, if that’s the case you will be needing to ask him and use his account so you can play the game. You can also purchase it under your account.

To clarify, do you own Minecraft through the Microsoft store? Are you trying to get your Minecraft game from a windows 10 device to a windows 8 device?

Let us know these details. For now, it is not possible to transfer Minecraft (for windows 10) from a windows 10 device to a windows 8 device.

Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition runs specifically on Windows 10. If you would like to play Minecraft on Xbox One, you will want to take a look at Minecraft:
Xbox One Edition. If you would like to install the Windows 10 version of Minecraft on your Windows 10 PC, sign into the account that originally redeemed the code and download through the Windows Store.

I own minecraft "windows 10 edition" on xbox one but isn't availabile on windows 10....

There is no "Windows 10 Edition" on the Xbox One.

On the Xbox One, there was a "Minecraft Xbox One Edition" but that has been replaced with just "Minecraft".

As the others already said, "Minecraft" is not a Play Anywhere title, so owning "Minecraft" on the Xbox One, doesn't give you "Minecraft Windows 10 Edition" on the PC.

However, if you own Minecraft Java Edition on PC, you can log into your Mojang Account on PC, and can get a code for the Windows 10 Version.
