You may have logged in with a different account. If that is not the case, and you already redeemed the code, then, the game should appear ready for his download in the Microsoft store.

Try searching for the version you won. It should appear labeled as "Owned".

Did you make it all the way to the last of the orders under this account? Do you remember having any other email accounts that you may have used for an Xbox account?

There is no direct way that you can check the date the account was created but you can always

directly to get further assistance with this. You should be able to get this information through them.

Sorry to hear you are running into this problem, do you remember if the code itself was redeemed to this account or did you redeem it under a different account? When you redeem a code onto a Microsoft account the license to the game is attached to that account
only. In this case it sounds like you may have redeemed the code to a different account.

Take a look at your accounts
Order History and go back a few years to the time you received the code and see if you find the transaction showing the code was redeemed.
