a clean boot. The clean boot starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs,
so that you can determine whether a background program is interfering with your game or program. Be sure to let us know the results!

I've heard alot of problems recently since crossplay on switch released theres also issues with some worlds deleting or not transferring between systems like xbox to pc and stuff... I thought I'd let you know if you try transferring and stuff theres more
potential issues you could run into until some things are patched up

i had the exact same issue. i resolved it by installing 'Xbox Identity Provider' from the windows store.

i guess i had uninstalled it at some point and when Minecraft calls the program, it just fails with a useless generic error
