Minecraft Windows 10 Editon

Hi me and my friend bought MC W10 edition and he cant join my word because " Unabble to connect "

need help ASAP

So today I got a pc and a big part of that was to be able to play minecraft with mods but after purchasing minecraft windows 10 I realized that there was two versions of minecraft, windows 10 and the pc/java editon. upon realizing this I found out that mods
aren't compatible with windows 10. I'm honestly so sad and disappointed is there any way I can get the java editon free or get a refund? I'm not trying to buy minecraft for a second time. please help

I am using a Windows 10 laptop. I do not own an XBox.

I have Minecraft: Windows 10 Editon and it won't show any achievements.

I am logged in into the XBox app for Windows 10.

I have played for 7 hours.

I do not get any achievements (as shown in the screenshot).

The in-game achievements window is still grayed out and I have went thru many of those achievements.

Please present me with a working solution for this specific problem.

Make sure you are both on the same version of the game. Because of all of the recent updates, many times people may be on a different version making it unable to connect.

 

Are you connecting into a realm together, or is one of you hosting a world and the other joining via the online friends?

 

I m connected on the world and he is trying to join and he cant.

 

If he hosts a world, are you able to join onto his?
