I am trying to redeem a Minecraft windows 10 edition key from the Mojang website.

Hello everyone,

since yesterday I cannot log in to Minecraft on Windows 10. Everytime I try I get a "Failed to login" with error code Glowstone.





I can see Minecraft in my library in the Windows Store and I can download and install it with not problems (I tried several times reinstalling Minecraft). I can even play it, but everytime I try to log in with my Microsoft Account I get this error. Does anyone have an idea what error code Glowstone means? I could not find anything regarding that error code.

Is Minecraft for Windows 10 included with the purchase of Minecraft: Java Edition? Players who have purchased Minecraft: Java Edition before October 19th, 2018 can get Minecraft for Windows 10 for free by visiting their Mojang account. Log into account.mojang.com,
and under the “My Games” heading you will find a button to claim your gift code. If you purchased Minecraft: Java Edition after October 19th, 2018, the button will not be there, so if you’re unsure of when you purchased Minecraft: Java Edition, that’s a good
way to check. Pressing the button will generate a token and send you to a Microsoft redemption page.

The Minecraft Editions you own on all your consoles are different editions of the game and are not the same as the windows 10 edition which requires you to buy it first. You will need to login into your Microsoft account though to play it.
