Minecraft Windows 10 Edition crashes whenever I try to sync an old world

So I'm trying to import an old world and everytime I try the game crashes at 40%. I have the world imported on the xbox one edition, but no matter what I try, it will not convert to windows 10 edition.

p.s. tried both on public release and beta versions to no avail.

    :)

Minecraft platforms confusion (Win10 and Xbox One)

I know that this has been asked before but I cannot really find a definitive answer regarding this issue.

My son has Minecraft on Xbox One. This is the new Minecraft, not the old Xbox One Edition. He's purchased additional in-game content for this version, such as skins and texture packs.

I'm considering getting him the Windows 10 version but I am not convinced that the worlds he has created on Xbox One can be synced to WIndows 10. There's a few posts I've found suggesting that it can be done with a realms subscription. This seems completely
wrong for what is supposed to be "Better Together".

Can someone clarify if this can be done and, if so, how to do it without realms.

Furthermore, will the content that he's purchased through Minecraft store on Xbox be available on Windows 10 version if he logs in with the same Xbox Live account on both?

The text below is on the Xbox support site, however this refers to Xbox One Edition worlds on other devices. It makes no mention of the newer "Minecraft" (bedrock). I find it bizarre that you can play Xbox One Edition worlds on other devices but not "Minecraft"
    worlds.

    Excerpt from support site.....

Play your Xbox One Edition worlds on other devices
When you play the new Minecraft on your Xbox One console, you’ll will be able to sync your existing worlds from the Xbox One Edition. Additionally, if you have a Realms subscription then your realms will also appear on your Windows 10, iOS, Android, Kindle,
or Gear VR devices (if you own them).

To sync your worlds from the Xbox One Edition to Minecraft:

    1. Sign into your console with the account that you previously saved your Xbox One Edition world with.
    2. Launch Minecraft and select Play from the main menu.
    3. On the Worlds tab, select Sync Old Worlds if your existing games haven’t already been migrated.
    4. Select the world that you want to migrate and wait for conversion to complete.
    5. Your world will now sync to the new Minecraft when you sign in.
In addition to world sync, certain skin pack, texture pack, and mash-up pack purchases that you made on the console will also be available when you play the new Minecraft, and on your other devices.

  4. Minecraft Windows 10 Edition crashes whenever I try to sync an old world

Transfer your worlds on Xbox One. Then upload it onto your Realms. Sign in your same account you use on Xbox One inside Windows 10. Download the world from Realms, and the world should be on your list.

    Hope that helps.

    Xbox Minecraft Bedrock World Disappeared

I uninstalled Minecraft and I can now see the world on my world list but whenever I try to edit or load the world it says “Failed to sync world data the world is not fully synced or has been corrupted try playing the world on a console where it’s in a good state and try migrating it again”

Can i transfer worlds from ps4 to xbox series s ?

You can use the Minecraft Realms standard or try the steps below first when transferring worlds.

In Minecraft (Bedrock Version), select the Sync Old Worlds button at the bottom of the worlds list in the Play menu. This finds any worlds on the device from the Minecraft: PS4 Edition and displays them below the button.

Select any of the worlds that are displayed to convert it to the Bedrock edition.

After conversion, the world will show up above the Sync Old Worlds button, along with the rest of your Bedrock worlds.
