    Minecraft windows 10 edition Crashes on Launch


    Just wondering if i could grab some help, recently joined the beta for Minecraft with RTX and it was working on an older version, but when my game updated to version 1.16.3052.0 my game now crashes on launch. i've tried reinstalling and it doesn't help.
    i've tried leaving the beta program and it doesn't help. i've tried leaving the beta program and reinstalling fresh but it still doesn't work.

    I'm just wondering why this version is causing me to crash on startup when my mate is playing the same version fine

    Looked through some of the help articles - man the information is confusing.

    Anyways from what I'm inferring from the posts is that you can play Windows 10 to Windows 10, and Pocket Edition to Windows 10 and that's it right now.

    I'm having the same Issue. Asrock 990fx killer Motherboard, AMD 8350 CPU, 16GB ram, Gforce GTX 750 GPU. Works fine on my Yoga tab, just not my PC.

    Hello mimim2,

    The Minecraft launcher you are referring to is only for the Java edition of Minecraft. The Java edition and Windows 10, are two separate games. In order to launch and play Minecraft from the launcher you are using in the last image, you must buy the Java
    edition from the site, not the Windows 10 version. Minecraft Java Edition | Minecraft. Annoying I know, but when Microsoft acquired Minecraft they released
    their own version of the game on their platform. Hope this helps

    I checked if I could launch Minecraft Windows 10 Edition and was able to, but when I try to launch Java or the launcher it still kicks me to the gaming services page

    I own minecraft "windows 10 edition" on xbox one but isn't availabile on windows 10....
    There is no "Windows 10 Edition" on the Xbox One.

    On the Xbox One, there was a "Minecraft Xbox One Edition" but that has been replaced with just "Minecraft".

    As the others already said, "Minecraft" is not a Play Anywhere title, so owning "Minecraft" on the Xbox One, doesn't give you "Minecraft Windows 10 Edition" on the PC.

    However, if you own Minecraft Java Edition on PC, you can log into your Mojang Account on PC, and can get a code for the Windows 10 Version.
