Minecraft Win10: "There was a problem loading this world"

I have Minecraft bedrock for windows 10.

Today while I was playing, my computer unexpectedly shut down. Now whenever I try to open the world, it simply says "There was a problem loading this world." I've restarted MC, restarted my computer, even went into settings and tried the Windows "repair app" in vain. It did absolutely nothing.

I've heard of a way to fix this in Xbox where you have to delete cache/world data and then reinstall it from the server and it will work again. However this does not apply to me.

So far I've only found one possible way for me to fix this for Win10. It requires copying the seed of the corrupted world to create a new one of the same seed. Then you go into files and replace the data of the corrupted world with that of the new one, saving any progress you've made, and it allows you to play it once more.

However, there is one problem with this: I've had this world from way before the Caves & Cliffs update. The world generation has changed dramatically since I updated my version, and now whenever I use the seed of the corrupted world, the new world is completely different. The only way I could try to fix with the method above is if I could somehow downgrade MC to an older version. Unfortunately downgrading is impossible for Bedrock, unless I use suspicious third-party tools and extremely risky file manipulation. I do not want to risk breaking the entire game to save just one world.

Is there any hope of ever recovering my world, or am I just screwed? I have spent many hours on it and it would crush me to have it all gone forever. Thank you for reading
