    I have had minecraft java edition for a while and when i found out that after some time there was a code for minecraft windows 10 edition i went to play store and downloaded it, couple of weeks after my laptop crashed and i had to reset it, my minecraft
    windows 10 edition was gone from then and i tried to re-download it but it says i have to re-buy the game, tried searching it up in the x-box app, clicked on it sent me to the windows store to buy it, went on to the microsoft site and it said that i have never
    owned the game at all, i cant use the code anymore and i really want to play it again, can someone help me with this problem?

    you'll have to buy the win10 edition separately. Minecraft is not a play anywhere title.

    Can confirm what SamRedge said, using the Win 7/8 launcher and using my microsoft credentials shows Minecraft Java Edition ready to play.

    The issue is the Win10 launcher not the users.

    Microsoft XBox staff need to update the user profiles to show that those that migrated own minecraft java edition in latest Win10 launcher / profiles.
