    Minecraft Win10 compatibility issue with Minecraft PE on LAN


    The FAQ states:

    "Can I play online with other people on Windows 10? Or on different devices?

    You can play with up to four other people running Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition or Pocket Edition on your local network. You can also play online with up to four of your Xbox Live friends in online
    multiplayer gaming."

    However, when my son and I attempt to play, with him on PE and me on Windows 10 edition, we cannot load each other's game/map on our LAN. If I am playing off the LAN (like in a different location) it works.
    Realms work too, but I don't want to maintain a subscription for just the two of us to play.

    Has anyone experienced this or know how to get it working correctly. It literally just says "Cannot load map"/ "Unable to load map" when we try to join each others game.

    Both his game and mine has the Xbox logo on the details.

    and what is the error codes you get when trying to sign in?

    Also do you have the Xbox app installed on your device?

    Trouble connecting to friends

    I seem to be having the same issue. I'm running Minecraft Win10 edition on one laptop and trying to connect to anothers lan game. They can connect to mine, but i can't connect to theirs. Anyone else had this issue?
