Minecraft will not update

Discus and support Minecraft will not update in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; When I try to update Minecraft it will show up in the queue but then it will not download it will stay there and the pause update button will not work...     Minecraft will not update


    When I try to update Minecraft it will show up in the queue but then it will not download it will stay there and the pause update button will not work and the cancel too when I restart the Xbox it will change the update percentage up but sometimes down too.

    I'm having the same issue. I was just playing minecraft today. I saw the update and it wouldn't let me update so I uninstalled minecraft to see if it would install the update when I reinstalled the game and now can't download minecraft at all.

    Hi Dylan,

    Thanks for keeping us updated with your replies. If the version of Minecraft you're using on disc is the Minecraft: Xbox One edition, then to update to the new Minecraft (Better Together), you'll need to purchase the game as it is a wholly different version.
    The free update from Minecraft: Xbox One edition to the new Minecraft edition (Better Together) ended on January 30th 2018.
