Minecraft website says I don't own minecraft but i played it with my friends before.

Unfortunately, having played a game on one account does not always mean that you own the game on this account. There are ways to play games without purchasing them, such as through game sharing or Game Pass. You can confirm whether you purchased the game on this account here:

If doesn't appear on this account you can check any other that you own, maybe you use a different account to buy it

This happened to me as well, turns out I have used my other Microsoft account.

Can you please try to sign in on the Minecraft launcher using all Microsoft accounts that you own?

Please sign out on your Minecraft launcher and restart your laptop before signing back in.

Please, reset the store and try installing the game again.

To Reset the Store, Press the Windows Key + R > Type WSReset.exe and press Enter.

Then, on the Microsoft Store, type your game name: "Minecraft".

Load the game page and click on "Install".

You can also log into the Minecraft website and download the launcher from there.

In case none of these options work, please, look for the puchase in your Transaction History:

Sign in to account.microsoft.com.

Select Payment & billing > Order history.

Then, copy the order number and contact Xbox Support.

When I log in to the Minecraft website with my current Microsoft account, it says I don't own Minecraft. I do have the confirmation email about the migration, and the confirmation email from when I transferred my Microsoft account.

Hey there thanks for the reply. Surely I don't need to sign into Xbox services to play Minecraft?

Like I say I paid for Minecraft and have played it before on the same windows desktop I have now.

When I download the launcher through the Minecraft website it directs me to the Microsoft store and it's there where I get an error.

There has to be some work around.
