Minecraft "We tried to sign you in to your Microsoft Account"

I've had this issue for a month now and everything I've tried isn't working. When I try to play Minecraft it says I'm not signed in, I try to go to the minecraft settings to sign in but it gives me the error "We tried to sign you in to your Microsoft Account".
I'm on Xbox One and I'm not sure what to do.

I just downloaded the new update for Minecraft and was prompted to sign into my microsoft account. I did so, but it says “Failed to login: We tried to sign you in to your microsoft account, but something went wrong”

As of this afternoon I am having the same problem. Can access Xbox, microsoft online ect but ps4 wont sign in with minecraft. Same error message “We tried to sign you in to your Microsoft account, but something went wrong.”
