Minecraft was registered to me, but supposed to be for my son.

I bought my son a copy of the Minecraft starter pack using my Microsoft account as i was thinking that since my payment details are there I dont want a kid to have access to it right away.

Unfortunately when I installed the game, the username and gamer tag is under my name.

I dont play minecraft.

We are under a microsoft family account. How can I transfer game under my sons name.???

As the other comment suggests, the best thing is probably to set his console as your Home Xbox. Then he will have access to Minecraft and can log in under his own account. If you have any problems though, Mojang support should also be able to help. Best

Thanks for reaching out, I can help you with your question. Now there is no way to transfer game ownership from one account to another, however you can share the access to the game via Home Sharing. You can make his console (if he has one) your home console
so any accounts on the device can play every game that you own. There's a link below showing you how to get that taken care of.

Just to clarify the game pass and gold is on MY account. Not my sons. I did this for control and it is supposed to be accessible to the kids set up underneath me.

I do get a bit confused when not playing with my son though ( as he keeps reminding me what I'm supposed to be doing ! )
