Minecraft Version Help?!?

I just got minecraft for christmas (2019) also in disc form, and the version is really old! It’s like 1.2 or something like that. I already looked for updates but nothing shows up. How do I get the most recent version, or the bedrock version?

From the sound of it, you have Minecraft Xbox One Edition. This edition of the game was discontinued a few years ago. It can still be played, but is no longer supported or updated. To get the bedrock version of the game, then you will have to purchase
Minecraft bedrock version from the Microsoft store on the Xbox. This version is just named Minecraft.

Try uninstall game, turn off Xbox, then unplug the cabbles for 10 seconds, turn on Xbox and install game

I understand you need help on getting another version of Minecraft.

Just a heads up, there is only one version of Minecraft for Xbox consoles and if you are playing on the Xbox Series X, that is the only version you can play for the game.

You cannot change or downgrade the version of Minecraft since you only have one version that you can play on the Xbox consoles.

I had the same Problem with a friend of mine, there are things you could check.

The Minecraft Version of your Friends Phone, maybe he has a newer Version of the game.

The NAT-type of your, or from your friends network

Maybe it's one of the problems that could help

The other Problem that could be, is that he has Minecraft Java Version ,because on the Pc there is the Minecraft Bedrock AND the Java Version.

Try looking for the minecraft version you have on your Pc and let your friend tell you, which version is on his phone.
