Minecraft Upgrade not working

Hi guys. Friday I went and bought Minecraft for the Xbox 360 and played around for a bit. Today I decided I want to continue playing it on my Xbox One, especially since there's an option to upgrade. I have played a DISC version of Minecraft ONLINE on my
Xbox 360, meaning I went on to multiplayer as well. Strangely, Minecraft still shows up as 18,99 instead of 3,99..

What am I doing wrong? I plan on selling my Xbox 360 in the upcoming week, so I hope I can jump over to the Minecraft Xbox One version for the discounted price.

Is XBOX ONE marketplace the same from XBOX 360?

Some games offer a free upgrade or reduced price to upgrade to the Xbox One but for the most part they use different programming so are not compatible.

Free Upgrade Games:

Destiny (until Jan 15)

CoD Advanced Warfare (I believe until March)

Free upgrades for already purchased DLC

Minecraft

Rocksmith

Pinball FX2

Reduced price for upgrade

Minecraft better together disc Upgrade not working

I got Minecraft: Xbox One on Christmas and i wanted to upgrade to the better together. It says to upgrade i need to buy a dlc pack or play for five hours, and that the deadline is at Jan, 31. I bought the Adventure Time mashup pack and play more than 5 hour
on the game and have waited for a mouth for the upgrade but have not gotten it. if anyone could help that would be great, my gt is Xeero Gaming

Sorry to hear it. As per the information page at Mojang you can get the $4.99 offer but you would have had to have played the game online if you have the disc version of it.

Unfortunately, because your account is Silver it seems as though you have not played the game online. If you were planning on getting a Gold membership for yourself at some point in the future you could do so and play a game online then get the game at
a reduced rate.

Sadly that is true. While you may have had an issue, if it wasn’t resolved then, it wouldn’t be now.

Unfortunately, if you were unable download and install the new version of Minecraft during the time that it was offered for free, then it would seem that you would have to purchase it through the Microsoft Store.
