    hey buddy, you really don't speak for the internet. there are people who might not have kept up with the minecraft update schedule, especially considering the time gap between updates and there was tell that they would hold off the updates until all console
    versions were out...

    thank you, GRADY 1999, i will be sure to hop back in and check it out.

    I'm having the same issue. I was just playing minecraft today. I saw the update and it wouldn't let me update so I uninstalled minecraft to see if it would install the update when I reinstalled the game and now can't download minecraft at all.

    Hi Dylan,

    Thanks for keeping us updated with your replies. If the version of Minecraft you're using on disc is the Minecraft: Xbox One edition, then to update to the new Minecraft (Better Together), you'll need to purchase the game as it is a wholly different version.
    The free update from Minecraft: Xbox One edition to the new Minecraft edition (Better Together) ended on January 30th 2018.
