Minecraft update, and Xbox Live Nat

Please be nice. I am the dad, not the player. We recently moved and switched ISP. Never had any issues with my previous connection type.

I am now on AT&T Uverse, with a Pace Gateway.

When I connected the xbox to my wifi, I got an error: "can connect to xbox live, but may have trouble connecting to multiplayer games"

I went through all the suggestions, opening ports, restarting router, resetting xbox settings.... Looks like I may have a private IPv6 address?

When my kids tried to play minecraft, there was a required update. They kept getting an error code and or the game locking up. But it would not update. I believe the error code (it was very long) indicated the memory unit may be full. Which is was. I had
them delete all their old worlds. 500+ worlds!!! We have a hard drive too, so plenty of space.

That did not fix the update issue. After multiple failed attempts to update the game, I tried putting the xbox in the DMZ on my router. The game updated with no issue. BUT..... Then I got an Xbox Live error, and could not connect to anything requiring Xbox
Live. I took the xbox out of the DMZ and it now works.

However, I still have the NAT issue with Xbox Live. But I can join games like PVZ Garden Warfare.

Do I have a problem? Will the next update have the same issue?

Probably your NAT type, which is not proving consistent across various routers or firmware with the Xbox One.

There are some existing threads about this and the Xbox site has got a networking topic in the support section.

NAT is giving me grief with the X1 on my setup, yet the same kit allows me to connect multiple 360s to Live all with an Open NAT at the same time. The X1 uses seven ports and four of them are the same as the 360. Makes sense, as it's still Live.

 

Trouble! Xbox live or the game?

Have you just downloaded Minecraft? Minecraft recently came out with an update. You need to update it. It will disconnect you from Xbox Live, but then a window will pop up saying that there is an update available and you must install it to proceed onto Xbox
Live. Click "Confirm Download" and then once it is done, it will restart the game and automatically connect you to Xbox Live.

 

I'm having the same issue and also have AT&T. I just bought a new Xbox 360 last night and can't download or update anything I keep getting error code 80072741 and when testing network connection I get NAT error. Please let me know what worked for you I'm
not familiar with all the technical stuff.
