Minecraft unending signin

Just got Minecraft Standard edition for windows 10.

Tried to sign in.

The sign in window claiming "Signing in with your Microsoft Account..." Never connects and never gives an error message, during this unending signin process.

The only time I get an error message is if I press cancel, after getting tired of waiting, 10, 15, 20, and hour later, which only says,

"We tried to sign you in to your Microsoft Account, but something went wrong."

I don't even get an error code or any information, not even a reference garble of letters and numbers.

You get it during the quest, Alduin's Bane and Parthurnax gives you instructions on how to obtain it. Season unending happens after this quest. On my first playthrough, it did it WITHOUT ever doing Season Unending because the civil war was running deep
when I got to this point. Season unending is an optional quest and only available if the civil war rages and you haven't picked sides yet.

Fixed issue where Galmar would not complete Joining the Stormcloaks properly if “Season Unending” was an active quest
Fixed issue where starting “Season Unending” after finishing “Joining the Stormcloaks” would prevent “The Jagged Crown” from starting properly.
