Minecraft “Unable To Connect To World”

I play Minecraft with my friend and we both have Xbox Live accounts. I could join her world with no problems until a few days ago. I saw her world pop up in the Friends column and tapped on it to join it. It would load for about 20 seconds until it gives
me “Unable To Connect To World.” I checked everything from my WiFi to my Xbox Live account. Everything was normal, my WiFi always worked before and I never changed it. The unusual thing was that I also couldn’t send any of my friends a message, and it would
tell me “We can’t send the message. The recipient might not exist, isn’t a friend, or we couldn’t reach the service.” As I already said, there is nothing wrong with my connection, I’m definetely sure that they are my friends, and I’m also very sure they exist
otherwise I wouldn’t add their gamertag in the first place. I think this has something to do on why I can’t join my friends in Minecraft. I got so frustrated, I tried everything. My friends could join my world but I can’t join theirs. Sorry this is so long,
but is there a solution to this problem?

Whenever I try to join my friends world (we are on different networks) I

can't join. It says "Unable to connect to world." I make sure he

invites me to his world before I try to join. When I click the Accept

button from the invite, it loads up Minecraft

and says "Generating world Locating server." Then it says nothing. It does this for about 20

seconds before saying "Unable to connect to world." I cant connect

to public multiplayer servers or realms either.

 

You’ve got a few issues here and I hate to suggest the obvious but given that you’ve checked your network already, have you tried a power cycle?

Restart or Power Cycle Xbox One Console

 

Sorry but I forgot to mention I’m not playing on an Xbox but on my iPad. I have an Xbox Live account for joining my friends. I’m not sure if that’s normal but thanks for the suggestion anyways!
