    Minecraft unable to connect to world


    Hi, minecraft recently updated on xbox one and it will no longer allow anyone to join my friends World that we had been playing on for a while. Comes up with the error "unable to connect to world".

    Anyone else came across this problem and know how to fix it?

    Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition: I can't join my friend's world

    Whenever I try to join my friends world (we are on different networks) I can't join. It says "Unable to connect to world." I make sure he invites me to his world before I try to join. When I click the Accept button from the invite, it loads
    up Minecraft and says "Generating world Locating server" It does this for about 20 seconds before saying "Unable to connect to world." I can still connect to public multiplayer servers but I can't join his world.

    Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this.

    Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.

    If you're in the Xbox insiders for mincraft the unenroll from it then reinstall

    Not part of xbox insiders for minecraft. Thanks anyway. Both of us have uninstalled the game and reinstalled. Hard resets. Still having the same issue.

    Minecraft unable to connect to world

    I am having the same issue. Even though my wife and I are on the same WIFI on two separate consoles. Did you find a solution to it at all? We were in a world for over 2 hours, then it kicked her out and wouldn't let her back in. On top of that when i dashboarded
    to see if resets would solve the problem to restart both consoles, it deleted the save. Minecraft unable to connect to world :( Tried numerous times to create a new world and invite each other but to no avail. Neither by inviting her or her inviting me. Hoping you have found the solution since
    i can't find anything about it on the web.

    It could well be that he needs to do a power cycle on his Xbox. I had this issue once where it was impossible to join each others worlds. However, it was with Xbox to Xbox. We both power cycled our Xbox's and it worked for us then.
    I might also have something to do with the settings on that server? This could be a NAT incompatibility issue. Ask our friend to their NAT type, it should say open. This can be done by following these steps:

    1. Click the Start icon and open the Xbox app.
    2. Select Settings > Network.
    3. Under Network status, check the NAT type

    If the problem persists, let me know!
