If you are still having issues with Minecraft, then you should try getting into contact with Minecraft support directly. If this issue is happening with multiple games, then you may want to try a soft factory reset. This will reset the operating system and
delete all potentially corrupted data without deleting your games or apps. You will have to re-sign into your account, so make sure you know the email and password before performing this step. This will also reset the
home Xbox settings.



Please note that if you are part of the preview program, you should
report this issue through the insider hub, as well as to the

insider reddit instead of doing the factory reset.



If you’re ready to reset your console to the factory default settings, follow these steps:

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
2. Select System > Settings > System > Console info.
3. Select Reset console.
4. On the Reset your console? screen, select
   reset and keep my games and apps

When you stated you had trouble opening the game, did you mean that it crashes or freezes up & takes you back to the home screen?

If so, then I recommend trying the solutions available in the following troubleshooting article to see if they'll get you back in the game. “My

2. Your grandson and his friends have to have all content enabled in their account profile security preferences

3. When your grandson loads his level(world), before starting it, click more options and put a checkmark in the "Online Game: (first item in the list).

All three must happen. Anyone who is not gold can not play online.

If their user created content setting is none, or friends only it will not work, needs to be everyone. Unfortunately.

The level has to be loaded with the online option checked.
