Minecraft to join Microsoft

One more "hit wonder" on Microsoft side....Don't be mad.

It won't change anything for you,and won't hurt the amount of games coming to Xbox one owners.

 

I'm just going to creep in here and firstly say CCCCCOMBO BREAKER, hahaha.

Then continue with, I can't believe MS did this, they are continuing to surprise me and I love being part of team Xbox! I have no idea what there plans are for this, but I wait in anticipation!

 

Man I was building up to that combo for ages now! Jk

I don't think they have a plan for it yet.

I mean obviously optimize it where they can but I think it's more of a trophy, and don't forget all the money they will make solely from people just playing it all the time!

There really is no need to change or do anything to the game to continue racking In the fortune that is MineCraft!

So long as people keep playing on their preferred plat, support should maintain for that plat.

If toy makers and authors keep making toys and books, then there is no worry.

 

I read somewhere that MS intends to break even on the deal by next year. They must have one hell of a business plan for this acquisition.

 

Whoever said that it might become a stock game on phones and computers like minesweeper just got me thinking that they must have ways to incorporate it into some of the other business to lure more customers or something.

That business plan would be a pretty interesting read, unless it's like, let MC sit as is and rake in money, I'm sure they would have some plan though.

 

Not sure if its been mentioned but minecraft has a massive education presence which will only grow, still many untapped markets still to find.

 

I genuinely don't see how Microsoft are going to make their money back.

Minecraft is a near five year old game. Chances are that everyone who wants to buy it already has. So Microsoft aren't going to make the money back on sales.

Flogging merchandise will rake in some cash but 2.5 billion dollars worth?

To be honest I think Microsoft have way over paid for something that while still popular, is past its prime.

 

Microsoft aren't counting on sales of minecraft, if I can work out it would take 20 years to break even and that's assuming you can keep it generating the cash it is now you can bet they did.

They bought it to increase there mobile/tablet market share.

 

Once again proving that everything has a price.
