Minecraft Switch Edition - How bad is it?

The game is unplayable 1.19 if you want to use a Microsoft login because nothing works. It's bad enough I talked a associate at a store into returning the game for a store credit.

Hello there! I'm pretty late but here is my input anyways. (Also apologies for any misspellings, English is not my native language.) I've owned the Minecraft Nintendo Switch version for about an year now, my short answer is no, the game is not worth about the 30€ you have to spend on it. I can't say for certain that everybody else has faced these issues, but here are a few things I find really annoying;

• The worlds take really long to load.

• The marketplace also takes really long to load and is rather laggy.

• You can customise your own skin, but it doesn't save it from time to time, so you have to do the same process of making the skin several times.

• My worlds tend to constantly freeze after I've played in them for a while and started building bigger things.

• Writing anything is a major pain, due to the Switch's keyboard system, it takes really long to write just one sentence.

The current state of the Minecraft Nintendo Switch is a mess, if you have anything else to play Minecraft on, play it there. 👍

Ya it’s not very good, I play exclusively offline and since the bedrock download it really lags the longer you play and build so much so I have abandoned some of my worlds, guess it’s to much to remember every block placement, not to mention the red stone builds are not the same as other versions so be prepared to rethink your layouts.

It's the worst version. I've got bedrock on RTX3070 laptop, ps5, s22 ultra Samsung. And the switch version is basically unplayable. I paid for realms they were slow and laggy couldn't play with friends ended up just ditching minecraft on switch completely. How can the game run so smoothly on the worst phones, but struggling to play minecraft when the switch plays doom perfectly????

Here's your answer just like most other developers Nintendo switch, they don't put much effort to the platform.

I play it on the daily, and the game itself is fine. The marketplace is the thing that sucks, and I mean SUUCKS. Since you are used to Java, you probably won't need to use the marketplace too much. Just use a web browser to search for skin packs, get one, and never touch the marketplace from the Switch
