Minecraft Switch 2nd player

Hello

I was wondering if there's any way to link the 2nd player account (The one who presses START) to a microsoft account

Just in case, linking a microsoft account with a switch profile and then playing with that profile as a second player doesn't seem to work

Regarding your issue, it would be best of you try reaching out to the game developers so that they can help you with this issue.

No, there is no way around this. What I think they made it like this is because for SD televisions, the screen will not fit.

An example of this is Gears of War 3: The reason you can't quickly switch loadouts in Gears 3 was because for 480p TV sets, it would jump onto the 2nd player's screen.

I'm guessing the same happened to MineCraft and they did this restriction.

Basically, why cant the Switch version of Minecraft cant see or join LAN servers? Its the same Betrock version, other platforms can so why cant Switch?

2nd question was why isn't there a Steam or Linux version of minecraft so its playable on Steam Deck?

Has the Minecraft “Better Together” update prevented some cross-platform group play? It seems that the answer is YES. My children now cannot play in the same Minecraft world, one via Windows 10 PC and one via Switch. The Switch player keeps getting
an "Outdated Client" message when trying to join, despite being able to see the other player's status in the cross-platform dialog box. The Minecraft Switch software is up-to-date.
