Minecraft: Story Mode

I got the season pass for my son today and it felt like no time at all and he has already completed episode 1 !

 

I did all of episode 1 last night. I LOVE it!!! I think that even if you're not a huge minecraft fan you could probably still enjoy the story. I can't wait for more. I think I might go back through and play it again. There's a missable achievement I want
to grab before we go too deep into the story.

 

That's good to hear Bowski, I think my son and I may dive in to it tonight or maybe tomorrow, how long did it take to get through the first episode?

 

Probably about 2 hours, give or take.

Also the missable achievement comes when you are asked to craft a stone sword. Craft a lever before you make the sword and you'll be in the clear

 

So what would you guys give this game out of 10? What about other telltale games? I just wanna see how people compare it amongst the games. Some are amazing, others are ok.

 

The game is pretty good Defy, son loved it, it was a good game and can't wait to get to the next chapter.

8/10. I had a few minor graphic issues like sky that was blue flashed to black every couple seconds, and felt like some scenes jumped ahead and missed some dialogue. It's tell tale so those things do happen occasionally.

 

The only other TellTale game I've played it Game of Thrones and I like it more. 9/10 from me. Same minor graphic issues in some areas. But it was few and far between. Nothing game breaking. I really love the story though.

 

For me I'd give it a 6/10 the story was way too childish and dumbed down compared to the other telltale games

 

My son said 9/10 points.

I give 6/10 but I`m grown up I think.

The Episode is very short but for 5,99€ XB1 it`s ok.

I like it for it`s re-playable design, when you choose other options.

 

I agree with Spiff's assessment of 8/10. It's a great story overall, but the minor graphical glitches can detract from it a bit. As for how well it holds up to the source material, it's absolutely fantastic! I half expect the characters to show up as skins
in the actual Minecraft game pretty soon. I, for 1, would love to be able to play as my favorite character, Reuben. The Wither Storm is also pretty awesome in its own right - I would love to see that make the transition as well (as a new kind of boss character).


Also, my favorite part to the game so far? Running through a hail of arrows, only to fail an on-screen prompt and getting shot in the knee, of all places. LOL!

That's not too bad! That's about half of what
Ryse Son Of Rome was and it cost a lil more. (twas about a 5 hr game I recall... unless you played it on easy)

 

I think I'll stick with the base game. I can always watch Minecraft Story Mode on Youtube. But if several of my friends get it, I'll get it too. The only kind of episodic game I have an Xbox is Life Is Strange for Xbox 1. Still waiting for the final Episode
5 to release. I paid only NZ$7 for the full Xbox 1 Minecraft game since Xbox was doing a discount that you get if you play the Xbox 360 version. Paying $9 per episode or $36 in my country for the season pass, seems a bit too much. Although I like Minecraft,
I even once brought 3 Minecraft threads to the front page on this forum section and no moderator minded, though Geek mentioned "we all know you love Minecraft". I am content with the base game and skin packs and texture packs you get in the game and meeting
hundreds of people and playing with a full friends list on the 360 version, whilst still enjoying the faster loading and saving times and larger drawing distances and higher mob population limits on the Xbox 1 version. And yes when I find a Minecraft thread
on this section, I'm in. By the way what is Goth doing here.... I thought she was part of the 5% of those on XBL who doesn't play the game. But if you have or like the Story Mode, that's great too. I saw a Minecraft article in the newspaper which took up an
entire page, titled Minecraft is popular in NZ. It's no wonder Microsoft wanted their hands on it and acquired it, since millions play it.

When I first saw this, I thought the Minecraft game was getting a story mode (I don't play Minecraft). I see that I was mistaken because it was made by Tell Tale Games.

On a side note, the Walking Dead season 1 and season 2 is amazing The Jurassic Park game was okay.

I will get it for xbox 360 when i get home. Ive seen several of my friends play it. I wont get it for x1 as most of my friends dont have xbox 1.

 

@smileskybird it's a single player game like the walking dead, game of thrones and borderlands tales of the wasteland, so no multiplayer
