Minecraft split screen on x-box360

Hi - my son wants to know how he can play with another player in Minecraft on "Split Screen". He hasn't be able to work out how to do this. He wants to play with another player who is using a different profile/gamer tag via the same console. Can anyone
help? Hope this question makes more sense to those reading it than it does to me!!!! Thanks

Hi,

I have not played the game myself but two colleagues of mine have said you can play splitscreen on xbox 360. For some reason however you can only do this if you are connected to the TV via HDMI. Hope this helps.

I believe this is under the heading local play.

'this what i did to do splitscreen

1. plug in hdmi cable into xbox

2. go to hdmi source

3. when xbox on sign in

4. go to settings,system,console settings,display set the display to a HD setting

5. if your tv supports it go yes and keep going yes if anything that helps pop up

6. go out of all that

7. go back to home and go minecraft (if you didnt get this far i cant help you)

8. go "play game" (who ever is hosting world must do this step)

9. create or go into a world

10. person who isnt host press start once or twice

11. enjoy splitscreen

if this works no need to thank me'

Minecraft doesn't do split-screen on SD displays.

If you are not using an HDMI, the component/composite cable do not support the correct resolution for split screen. Therefore you must use an HDMI to do split screen on MineCraft.
