Minecraft - Shaders

So theres this thing on xbox where you download this app called file downloader where you can download minecraft shaders onto xbox (makes the games lighting look better) but im not sure if you can get banned or not for doing it. It is not modding the xbox,
as it is an app on the xbox store, so was wondering if you are allowed to do it or not

I dont think you understand, let me re phrase, they added SHADER support on the Minecraft Preview but you cant OFFICALLY buy or download SHADERS on minecraft XBOX

There are two main reasons why you cannot buy or download shaders in Minecraft for Xbox Series S:

The function is still in development. The support for Shaders was added in the preview of Minecraft in Xbox in March 2023, but is not yet available in the full version of the game.

Microsoft has said that you are working to improve the support for Shaders in Minecraft for Xbox Series S. Microsoft may add the purchase of shaders to the Minecraft market in the future, but there is still no specific date for this function.

I would use caution as it could be construed as modding the game as you are changing it. Certain games do offer mods through the game itself. Any work around would definitely be scrutinized.

Thanks for the answer. I just wanted to know and shaders aren't that important anyway.

I would be cautious it might be counted as modding better safe than sorry
