    Minecraft server networking issues


    Hello,

    I have this problem with connecting to my friend's Minecraft server. Here is my POV:

    1. I join the server.

    2. I download about 42 MB worth of mods

    3. It stops midway and tells me that "the connection to the host was lost. If that world is still being hosted, please check your Internet connection and try again"

    4. Check internet. It has full bars

    5. Ask friend if he has any problems

    6. He doesn't.

    EXTRA INFORMATION: my friend (aka the Hoster) is on an Xbox x, I'm on an Xbox S.

    Whenever my other friend joins (he's on a Xbox S) this problem occurs to me

    Whenever I get lucky and actually join, he gets the problem.

    The mods have NEVER been updated since. Not a single MB.

    He gets the mods from the Minecraft store

    When I actually join, which is rare, I uninstalled and reinstalled Minecraft beforehand and had to restart the process of installing the mods.

    We both have ballpark internet.

    This problem started occuring frequently around the start of Feb or mid-January

    1. Check your network connection.
    2. Restart your router
    3. Refresh Minecraft server
    4. Check the status of Minecraft server
    5. Re-log in Minecraft
    6. Contact your network administrator
    7. Uninstall mods from Minecraft
    However, if you are experiencing this issue only with Minecraft, we would highly suggest getting in touch with Mojang's support directly as they would have the best info as to whether or not there's something up with their servers.
