    Minecraft seed not the same on Xbox Series S as on Xbox One


    So I found an awesome seed on Minecraft (plain ‘Minecraft’ NOT ‘Minecraft: Xbox One Edition’) on my Xbox One. I recent got a Xbox Series S and wanted to play the same seed in a new game. I synced and loaded the original game and found the seed. When I went to start a new game with the seed it wasn’t the same map and didn’t have any of the same biomes or villages.

    I started the new world in creative with coordinates on and a starting map (same as my original) but the coordinates don’t match up. I only fly around my starting map to see if it’s the same world. I started a new world and tried again and had the same issue.

    So I’m wondering if it could still be the same seed but the coordinates are different and it spawns you in a different area, or if the seeds aren’t the same on the new console.

    Basically, how can I find the same world from my Xbox One on my Xbox Series S?

    Yeah I was thinking that might be the issue. I’ll just have to make new worlds and hope I can a world close to that one again!

    I've been using the same seeds as well as attaining new ones and have never had a problem with maps not generating the same map. Of course, this was when it was before MS until about a year ago. Is there any way to find the new seed number of my old map, if that is possible?

    when the game is updated to a new version, sometimes the same Seed doesn't work anymore and a new seed is needed for that, same terraria process for example.

    Xbox series s isn't the same as xbox one s

    Xbox one games are just xbox one games .

    Series consoles have s or x requirements physical or digital plus the power difference

    It actually would. There's an Xbox One, One S, and One X that are all in the same family. Then there is the Series S and Series X that are in a completely different family of consoles.

    An Xbox One X is not the same as a Series X. The game will not work on an One X.
