  1. Minecraft Saves and Cloud Storage

I moved a few days ago and took my Xbone with me. I didn't have internet for a few days so I got by with playing Minecraft offline. I played a particular save two different times, then came back for a third play and it's just gone. Disappeared off the face
of the earth. I figured that whatever happened to it, the cloud would surely bring it back when I got internet. I got hooked up today and found that my save did not download from the Cloud either. My question is: what in the world happened that made my save
disappear on the hard drive as well as the cloud? Any input would be appreciated because I have no information at all. Thank you.

    :)

Minecraft lost over a year of saves

If your console was properly connected online, and had time to synchronize your savegames with the Xbox Live Cloud, you could try to force the console checking the online save storage.

Before you do that: Be aware that we are going to delete your local save copies. If the console did NOT upload your saves to the Cloud, the local saves will be gone!!!

To force the download from the cloud, go to "My Games and Apps" and go to the Minecraft tile. There press the menu button (the small button on the right of the Xbox Button with the three lines), then choose to manage the game.

On the right, you should see buttons to clear the local save storage, and to delete saves from all consoles (i.e. the cloud).

ONLY delete the LOCAL storage, do NOT delete the save from all consoles!!!

After the local save storage is deleted, start Minecraft.

The console should then synchronize the savegames with the cloud. Do not abort that process!

If you have luck, and only your local save storage was affected, you should now have your savegames back.

If not, then I'm afraid your savegame is completely lost :-(

    Minecraft Xbox One world lost

You might be lucky, that the cloud save hasn't been updated with the crashed world yet.

In that case, try the following:

Go to the Minecraft tile in "My Games and Apps", and press the Menu button. Choose to manage the game.

WARNING! The following steps will delete the local save storage! If the other worlds haven't been synced with the cloud, your saves will be gone!!!

So if you are willing to take that step, clear the LOCAL save storage of your Minecraft game.

DO NOT choose to delete the games from all consoles (i.e. the cloud storage)!!!

With the local save gone, start Minecraft.

The console will then try to re-sync the local saves from the cloud.

If that worked, you might have a working world from a previous save.

To prevent such things happening in the future, consider backing up your worlds regularly with these instructions: https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/articles/360034754912-Backing-up-Minecraft-worlds-

Minecraft save issues due to quota?

Hi there! This is Virginia O.

I understand that you are experiencing issues with Minecraft Storage.

I apologize for the inconvenienced this has caused you. I will do my best to help you.

Please check Minecraft storage quota because Minecraft has its own save data limit, separate from your Xbox cloud storage. Even if you’ve cleared old saves, residual or hidden data can still occupy the quota.

To do this on your Xbox, go to Settings > System > Storage.

Find Minecraft in the list, and review the save data size.

And then re-sync cloud saves by signing back into your Xbox account.

Launch Minecraft and let it fully sync with your cloud save data.

Restart the game and try creating or saving a new world.

Next is to check for system or game updates. Kindly make sure that both your Xbox console and Minecraft are up to date.

Go to Settings > System > Updates to check for pending updates for the console.

And for Minecraft, open the Xbox Store > Library, and update the game if needed.

    Thank you for your cooperation.

Can I get a copy of my 'corrupted’ Minecraft world from the Xbox cloud service?

Thanks. But my local save was not corrupted. It is that I did a Xbox factory reset. After that, I did try to re-sync my Minecraft world (500+MB) and the console said "the cloud save is corrupted".

Is it possible that I get the "corrupted" save from your cloud storage and then I can try to repair it? The Minecraft save is so precious to us. Is this possible?

    Transferring Minecraft worlds

Unfortunately, since Minecraft is not a Play Anywhere title, you can't migrate your Xbox Minecraft worlds to Windows 10 Minecraft.

There is no way to access saved data on your Xbox console or the cloud storage.
