Minecraft Realms Plus Subscription has been paid for with my Microsoft account, but it does...

I have had a similar problem, requested a refund, heard nothing.

The issue keeps recurring, I set up and pay for a Minecraft Realms Plus subscription and select recurring billing. A month later the subscription charge is taken from my account, I can see the subscription in my Microsoft account but it is not available in Minecraft for Windows??? It has just happened again, for the third time. I'm not going to hit renew this time and be double charged again but would appreciate some help getting the issue resolved. As I said, I can see the subscription in my Microsoft account, paid on the 8th January, Xbox Live has no subscriptions registered and Minecraft has no subscriptions. What do I do, I have some very unhappy kids who want to play on their realm but I'm done subsidizing the Microsoft/ Xbox/ Mojang mess!!

Based on your description, the Minecraft Realms Subscription is active on a different Microsoft account than the one you are currently using.

Kindly check all of your other Microsoft accounts on account.microsoft.com > Services and Subscription to cancel the Minecraft subscription.

If it's not there, check the accounts' Services and Subscriptions of your family members or friends who might have been using your Xbox console or Windows PC frequently at your home. It might be possible that your payment card is linked to their accounts.

Since the Minecraft Realms Plus subscription is not showing up on your Microsoft account on account.microsoft.com under Services and Subscriptions, which means the subscription is active on your son's account.

In order to cancel the subscription, you will need to sign in to your son's account on account.microsoft.com > then go to Services and Subscription > and then cancel the Minecraft Realms Plus subscription.

That is correct, it is possible that your other email address and your PayPal or any other payment method can be associated with your son's Microsoft account.

According to Mojang: "If you have never purchased Realms Plus before, you can start a free trial for Realms Plus for 30 days. After your trial is over, you will be charged the appropriate subscription fee every month."

This means if it's not showing in your marketplace you have already used the subscription before.

In regards to your second question, yes, you will be needing an Xbox Live Gold subscription which is required to play a paid online multiplayer game such as Minecraft.

If you still can’t access or recover the Microsoft account associated with the active subscription, then the best option would be to contact your bank/card issuer to cancel the charges for you. This is probably the easiest route to resolve this anyway.

You can also always contact support directly. You may need to adjust your options to speak with someone. Try selecting either ‘I don’t recognise a charge’ or ‘I can’t redeem a code’ under ‘Subscriptions & billing’, then select live chat or request a call back.
