    Minecraft realms on ipad

    Hi

So I am the parent of 2 children.

    Both kids have Microsoft accounts.

Both have xbox accounts linked to the ms accounts and have profiles on the one xbox with me as parent controlling.

I have signed up for realms with the intention of one playing on xbox and one on ipad. And my account as the one paying for realms. I have added both kids as friends on xbox to make it easy to send a realm invite.

Minecraft installed on both and testing with one child account. If that child plays on the xbox after receiving my realm invite, it works fine.

If they then play on their ipad under the same ms account then they get the message

"You cannot play on realms because of how your Microsoft account is set up etc etc"

This clearly isn't the case as that child account plays fine on the xbox.

Any suggestions? I have double checked the privacy settings on the xbox and via the microsoft family account settings and they must be correct as the child account works fine on the xbox.

    :)

    Minecraft on Nintendo switch

...we have now started fresh with a new world in minecraft on the ipad. However, i still cannot access this new world on the nintendo switch minecraft
Minecraft doesn't store the worlds "in the cloud" so that multiple devices can access one world.

If you have a world stored on your iPad, the Switch will NOT automatically have the world, even if you use the same Microsoft Account.

Your son can either "visit" the world on the iPad with the Switch, while the iPad is running Minecraft at that time through Multiplayer.

If you really want to have the world shared across both devices, your only option is to "rent" a realm that you have to pay for in monthly subscription fees.

Or if your son is okay with transferring the world from one device (e.g. iPad to the Switch and only play on the Switch from then on), you could use a free trial for Realms to transfer the world over.

To do that, your son activates a Realm subscription with a free trial on iOS, and uploads the desired world to the Realm service.

Then he connects the Switch to the same Realm, and downloads the world to his Switch.

Then you cancel the Realm subscription via

Minecraft Realms on xbox and win 10 edition

    Hi

    The simple answer is yes.

I used to have a Minecraft realm subscription (only stopped because we don't play Minecraft much at the moment). I played on Windows 10 until I found a good seed, then set that save in the realm. After that I played in the realm with my daughter (on our
Xbox's) and her friends (who were on PC/laptop and iPads). We had quite an excavation going at one point. It is good because my daughter and/or her friends could go on any time without me being on.

    Hope this answers your question.

Experimental Minecraft worlds same account different devices

    Hello slyryx,

Welcome to the Xbox Community Forum. Thank you for sharing your concern with us today and we hope that all is well.

As per Minecraft Support: It can be difficult to transfer game files from one device to another. However, there are two methods that can help you transfer your worlds. You can transfer worlds between these devices using a Minecraft Realm or, if you play on an iOS device, through the iCloud method.

Transfer Your World Using a Realm

You must have an active Minecraft Realm to do this. If you have not yet used your Realms free trial, you can use that to transfer your worlds. For more information about Minecraft Realms and how to start a Realm, go to the Realms Plus page.

Note: You must use the same edition of Minecraft and the same Xbox Live account to transfer worlds.

    1. From the first device, click the pen icon next to your Realm from the Realms list
    2. Click Replace World and confirm.
    3. Choose the world you want to transfer.
    4. Wait for the upload and then click Let's go!
    5. Open Minecraft from the second device and click the pen icon next to your Realm from the Realms
    6. Click Download World.
    7. Wait for the download and then click Let's go!
Your world should now be transferred from one device to another. If you want to transfer another world, repeat the same process.

Transfer Your World Using the iCloud Method (iOS Devices Only)

See the steps below for the Apple iPad:

    1. Open the Files app on the old iPad.
    2. Under Browse, tap On My iPad.
    3. Tap Minecraft.
    4. Tap the Games folder.
    5. Tap the com.mojang folder.
    6. Locate the file named minecraftWorlds. This has all your worlds in it.
    7. Press and hold to open the menu.
    8. Tap Save to Files.
    9. Locate your iCloud drive and save the world file to the iCloud Drive folders where you want to store it.
    10. Click Save.
The worlds are now saved to your iCloud.

“You need to authenticate to Microsoft services“

    Hello sekirooo(o_O’),

Let me help you with your concern today. Please note that this is a public forum, I apologize for a delay in response.

Sorry to hear you're having trouble in Minecraft. Can you please confirm if you're getting this error in Realms or servers? If the error is in Realms, can you check if you will get the same error in servers?

Can you please try this? Go to your iPad Settings > General > Date and Time > Enable "Set automatically".

After this please try to restart your iPad. Then launch Minecraft, sign in your Microsoft account and check if you will still get the same error.

If you have data/hotspot, try to use that as your connection too and see if it will help.

I will be awaiting your response.

    Regards,

    Belle

    Access XB360 / XB1 Cloud Saves...without an Xbox

    Hiya Hawt,

I was very curious if there was any other method to move the content so, after looking further into this information I have found a link to support what was stated above.

Can I play on Realms across different devices?
"Yes! Most versions of Minecraft now allow players to get together, regardless of which device they're on. Anyone playing on Xbox One S, Xbox One X, Android, iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Windows 10, Windows Phone, Amazon Fire tablets or Gear VR can play together.
Players of Minecraft Java Edition can currently only play with each other. "

    Hope this helps.
