Minecraft question about disappearing worlds

my son just got an Xbox 1 back in March and since then 4 of my worlds have disappeared. Only mine are gone none of his.any ideas on why ? The last world that disappeared i was playing in and the game froze so i restarted it and went to log into my world
again and it was gone .i never had this problem on Xbox 360.

I stopped making worlds and just play in his realm now. It's aggravating because I spent so much time doing things and BOOM world gone...any ideas why and is there a way I could maybe get any of them back or stop them from dissapering ?

Sorry about the frustration. As it sounds in both instances the Minecraft world that you were playing, when shut off was not done properly so it didn't save it. You did the right thing in contacting Minecraft/Mojang see if they may be able to recover them
for you. As far as the cloud and such if you cleared local saves and resynced and they aren't there then they aren't saved. I am truly sorry for any inconvenience this causes.

Hi Mikey,

With an Xbox one, S, and X all games are saved to the cloud automatically when connected to the internet. The only time they wouldn't be is if you play offline, or don't have any internet. Basically once you clear local saves, when you launch your games
will say syncing data. This is getting the save data from the cloud.

Hello Mikey,

Thanks for coming to the forums. With the first issue on the turn console off coming up. This happens due to holding the guide button for couple seconds. With the world disappearing Since all of it was shut down by a force shut down it could of corrupted
the file. You can try clearing local save game, then launching Minecraft see if it pulls up the world again. If it doesn't then the cloud save for the world has been written over also. To clear local save go to settings>system>storage>clear local save.

Only other thing that may work is contacting
Mojang see if they able to pull the world up.

It seems the world data wasn't successfully saved through the cloud as the WIFI cut out; therefore, I am afraid there is no way to recover it in such cases.

However, you can reach out to Mojang to check if they've got any recommendations!
