Minecraft purchased from website will not launch

Obviously make sure you are using the same profile that purchased the content, but the only other thing I can think is log on to your Xbox 360 and launch Minecraft to see if it applies an update. If there is an update, this should be what is needed to trigger
the discounted purchase price. Also, are you trying to do this from the Xbox One or from the website? If you are doing it from the Xbox One, try the website and see if you get a difference result.

I have the Java version purchased from the Minecraft website itself.

I also have the same issue. I purchased the Windows 10 version through Microsoft and have no issues playing Minecraft if I launch from the Minecraft app. But, if I try to launch through Minecraft launcher it says I have not purchased. I have tried signing
out and back In multiple times to refresh, no luck. Any advice?

When I click buy from the Minecraft launcher it takes me to this website https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/store/minecraft-java-edition?ref=Launcher I'm not logged in and it has the option to purchase Minecraft but after logging in to the that website with same Microsoft account that I had logged into the Minecraft launcher with the purchase option is replaced with Already own Minecraft? Download it again. and the launcher download button.

Does this only happen with Minecraft? Have you attempted to purchase anything else on the regular Store on the console? Have you tried purchasing from the MS store website and encounter the same thing?

Only in minecraft, tried to purchase different things on the regular store and a different game that has ingame purchases and the prompt to select the payment and confirm it pulls up immediately, so those all work. Have not tried the MS website however,
seems to be only from the microtransaction marketplace in minecraft
