On minecraft there will be a thing called the “Minecraft store” go to the mincraft store and search up “Texture Update pack” it will be free once you download it you can play cross platforms, servers arent up yet for PS4

Also, according to this website https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/articles/360037725571-Minecraft-for-PlayStation-TM-4-FAQ the
ps4 cannot yet use servers.

Simply put. No. It is not currently possible to play local multiplayer Java to bedrock Minecraft. (assuming your not running the Minecraft PS4 Edition of Minecraft). Which would still be no. There are plugins for java that allow bedrock clients to connect to java servers but that feature is not on current consoles. Sorry for the inconvenience. Happy gaming!
