Okay, I'm logging the process right now:

1. I open the launcher. Because long ago I already migrated, I log in with my Microsoft account.

2. The app shows my username not as the one I have been personally using (************), but my son's Xbox profile name (*************). I presume because somehow the two accounts merged? And the big green button says "Play Demo".

I don't know what further information screenshots are going to provide. That's pretty much it.

2. Have you updated your system to the latest update?

Microsoft Store, Xbox app, and Minecraft Launcher must have the same credentials to avoid getting into login issues. If you're having with the Microsoft Store and Xbox app, let us know. Please send us a screenshot of the error message. The main goal here is to have access to Minecraft Launcher and play the game. So first of all, let us verify your credentials and know where your license is and be connected to Minecraft services.

If your login:

• Sign in | Minecraft - how you log in>
  
  • Sign in with your Mojang account - have you tried How to Migrate Your Mojang Account to a Microsoft - Home (minecraft.net) account
    
  • Sign in with Microsoft - MSA - you should be able to access your account here - https://account.microsoft.com/ If you have migrated your account - MSA must be the login of the Login | Minecraft
    
    • IF Yes - Minecraft license is in
      
      • | Microsoft Order History account
        
      • or log in | Minecraft
        
    • If not - Remember the security information you've associated with your account.
      
      • or any contact phone number? Skype? Other secondary emails/alias (these would be access from your account as alias acts the big role)
        

If you don't remember a pseudonym or secondary alias

You forgot your Microsoft account username

I am having the same issue trying to set my child'support profile to play minecraft with friends and we do not have a game console. they are in the family page on Microsoft family but I am not seeing the profile in Xbox settings to update the profile to
allow playing minecraft with friends.

Please advise how to correct this issue.
