Hey! I heard that Minecraft Xbox One Edition will have an update including the increase of players from 8 to 16 players! That's right! You will be able to have up to 16 players per world in Minecraft Xbox One Edition!

You can add me if you want, 80% of my friends don't have an Xbox 1 so am more on my Xbox 360.Playing alone on the Xbox 1 edition just gets too lonely. For some reason I don't mind playing alone in Zoo Tycoon which is multiplayer capable (well co-op with
up to 4 friends). I am mature too 99% of the time.

I am on summer vacation it's summer for NZ & Australia. Will be back home 5 January and will still be on break.

In Minecraft, the world is saved to the account that is "Player 1" and starts the game first.

When the second player joins that world, he is saved together with the world in Player 1's save slot.

If the second player starts the game themselves, they start a new game with a new world and empty inventory, as they have no access to Player 1's savegame. To prevent that, make sure that Player 1 starts Minecraft and enters their world, and that Player
2 then joins that session.

If you want the two players to be able to play independently on the same world, you would need to rent (and pay for) a Realm that is hosted on Minecraft's online service.
