    I recently purchased Minecraft with a Microsoft account, but after downloading the launcher, I logged in, and only the trial version of the game is coming up.

    With issues like these, We suggest you Check your Xbox purchase history | Xbox Support and make sure that you have purchased the correct version of Minecraft not only the trial version. If that's the case, then please try removing your account and then restart your device then check again.     Error code on startup, other issues

    Been getting this error (Error code 0x80040900) for about three days -- seems to only happen when I'm loading Minecraft (Better together).
    I have also been getting these error codes after playing the new Minecraft, I wouldn't be surprised if that's our issue.
