    Both my sons have Minecraft pocket edition and one can play just fine while other some games stay on “downloading”. They both have plenty of space. They have the same make and model iPad.

    and what is the error codes you get when trying to sign in?

    Also do you have the Xbox app installed on your device?

    In this case, please try to uninstall Minecraft PE from your iPad.

    Restart your iPad and install Minecraft PE again.

    Try to play it and please let me know how it goes.

    Minecraft PE was discontinued in 2017. It was replaced with Minecraft Bedrock Edition which is simply known as just Minecraft.
