Minecraft PE Multiplayer stopped working

Discus and support Minecraft PE Multiplayer stopped working in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; On 20 December I and my daughter both connected to my son’s multiplayer world on LAN without problem.     Minecraft PE Multiplayer stopped working


    On 20 December I and my daughter both connected to my son’s multiplayer world on LAN without problem. None of these logged in to Microsoft Accounts. All on v1.16.201, on iPad, Kindle Fire and iPhone. Next day the Kindle and iPad could still connect to each
    other’s worlds, but we couldn’t see the multiplayer world on the iPhone (‘your friends are not playing Minecraft right now’). Still same versions, same WiFi, tried various re-starts, no joy.

    Today tried signing in to Microsoft on iPad and iPhone. Now can see each other’s worlds in friends having made friends, but ‘can’t connect to world’ in either direction. Still same versions and same WiFi. Have checked privacy settings in both Xbox accounts
    and all seem to be ‘open’ so am at a loss...

    Please go to the game settings, head to the profile section and Sign out of your Microsoft Account then deactivate the “Use Cellular Data” option and you will do the same with “Auto Update Unlocked Packs”and then enable it again

    Finally you will need to close the game and delete the cache on the app settings of your phone

    If the problem is not fixed yet, download the Xbox app an log in there with the same Microsoft account then add your friend gamertag to your friend list
    We did this and it did not work

    i found troubleshooting steps for you to try

    Ensure "local server multiplayer" is enabled in options.

    Ensure none of the devices is using a VPN.

    Ensure ALL of the devices have the latest version of Minecraft PE. If that's not so, there's no way it's going to work.

    To update an app on iOS:

    1. Open App Store app from home screen.
    2. Browse into updates tab.
    3. Scroll down to find Minecraft PE.
    4. Press the "UPDATE" button next to the game.
    5. If needed insert Apple ID password.
    6. Wait for update to finish.
    Repeat this for all iPads.

    Ensure all the iPads have A DIFFERENT MINECRAFT NAME!

    You can change the name in Options menu, from "Steve" to something else.

    If it still doesn't work, this might be a issue with Unique Device Identifier of Minecraft. Reset it by uninstalling and reinstalling Minecraft PE. This will unfortunately remove the worlds.
